It may look like a condemnation on paper but we all know how those work. The UN is ineffectual and will Israel listen? Most likely not.

Yeah--Israel never listens and are always looking out for their own interest with disregard to human life.

You're right, it is ridiculous..... what's even more ridiculous is that the post of mine you quoted was the third time I said that Hindenburg (who was elected by the people) is the one that appointed Hitler...... and that now I have a second person misreading my posts and saying I'm wrong while repeating what I said.

When you contiue to imply that Hitler was elected, you are wrong. He was, in no way or form, elected. In fact, he lost several popular elections. He was appointed, and you cannot equate that to being elected by the populace. The German people spoke when they failed to elect him. They had no control over appointments. So, quite simply, you are wrong, from the first post that stated the German people elected Hitler, to every post that implies that they somehow had a say in his appointment. As convenient as it would be to avoid being wrong, you cannot distort historical fact just to support your mistake.

Forcing a woman who was raped to bear the child of the rapist is NOT humane.

Nice try though.

Nor is forcing a woman to give birth to a child that she later abuses and kills.

I have agree with you about this issue.

Against on abortion is more humanity in my opinion.

sorry but no. forced to give birth to a child and surrender the child to broken foster system.... no thanks.

so should we leave USA too? America truly belong to Native Americans.. I should go back to Korea and white people should go back to Europe. yes?

Funny, you said somethin' different because, of what your view or perspective tells you. I will tell it what my view or perspective tells me. No, there's a " NEVER " for us to leave USA. And, yes America truly belonged to Indian tribes. The Government pays them for America land. Each state people live in America don't go war with each other like Palestine and Israel do for decades. America is famous for " one nation under God ". Palestine and Israel are not. They are fightin' over Israel's land.

The only problem that they both have their war against each other over the land is because, of Hagar and her son, Ishmael. Jealousy.

I'm calling it as I see it. It's okay for the Israeli's to murder the Palestinians but not the other way around?

I already responded to Jiro. See my post # 586.

Then what do you call an area that is fenced in and not allowing individuals to come and go? And while they are being bombed--you're still not allowing them to leave the area for their own safety?

It's called "caged hunting". Afterall the description fits the definition. Sorry you can't accept that defintion as the truth.

All they have to do is stop shelling at Israel. And stop storing weapons in the mosques and stop hiding behind women and children.

The nation of Israel was developed without the input of the Arabs. Afterall--they were living there as well. How would you like it if I came to your house and "take it over"?

"take it over"?? The Jewish people was buying lands from Arab land holders. "In the late 19th and early 20th centuries the Zionist movement gained strength in Europe, and large numbers of Jews immigrated to Palestine. The movement focused on self-reliance through agriculture, and many immigrants settled in the countryside. To do so, Jews had to buy land from local Arab holders of small tracts and from absentee Arab landlords of large areas. As a result, Jews and Arabs came into increasing contact; at times, Jewish purchases led to the displacement of Arab peasants from the land. Although the Ottoman government sought to slow the Zionist movement, Jews established a significant and expanded presence. Their success furthered the world debate about whether and how to establish a Jewish homeland, and it also created apprehension among Arabs." Arab-Israeli Conflict - MSN Encarta

What the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians is no different what the Germans did to the Jews when they round them up and forced them to live in the ghettos. A good example is the Warsaw ghetto.

Israelis rounded up the Palestinians and forced them to live in the Gaza.

The parallels are striking!

This newspaper article is from 1948 just before the modern state of Israel was created: PALESTINE (FOOD SUPPLY, JERUSALEM) (Hansard, 14 April 1948)
This is when the Arabs ambushed the jewish people along certain road to prevent them from bringing food to jewish people in Jerusalem(back in 1948): Jerusalem under siege, 1948 - After Nebi Daniel
That is why there was Deir Yassin incident which was necessary to break the hold the arabs had on the route so they can bring food to the jewish people of Jerusalem: Deir Yassin
One of you guys brought up Deir Yassin to put Israelis in a bad light, you didn't tell us of what happened just before that inicident. You are very biased.

The government didn't "pay them for the land". The government took the land away from the Indians and then rounded them up to live on the reservations. Poor inadequate land for the Indians.

They got the short end of the stick.

What did Israel do?

Attacked the headquarters of the United Nations in the Gaza strip.

Israeli forces shell UN headquarters in Gaza - Yahoo! News

*smh* Not looking good for the Israelis. They claim they want peace in the world and they're attacking the UN as well. *smh*

I looked it up and I also looked up this link: Reuters AlertNet - Gaza crisis critical with supplies of food and fuel perilously low and it said that "Food and fuel are in perilously short supply. Eighty percent of the people in Gaza were reliant on food aid. Some food aid is still available in Gaza but the bombing has stopped aid agencies distributing food and when there is food available in the market the prices have escalated three-fold. The crisis is becoming dire for the most vulnerable." That is in December 31, 2008 - a full two weeks earlier. And now read in your link: "Israel shelled the United Nations headquarters in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, engulfing the compound and a warehouse in fire and destroying thousands of pounds of food and humanitarian supplies intended for Palestinian refugees." This doesn't made sense. If the food supply is low as of December 31, so the food supply should not be in thousands of pounds of food. Either they inflated the number of pounds (as in lying and milking for West's sympathy) or they are stockpiling food for themselves, not for Palestinian people who need food badly.

Remember that there was also an 48 hour reprieve for the food to be brought in since that time.....

my view and perspective are very consistent on many issues but yours are not. no biggie though. :cool2:

we pay tribes for American land? honey... I don't know what you heard but have you seen how they're living and do you think they're in any position to "rebel" against us? and didn't you pay attention in history class? We were at war for decades with Indians. The prolonged wars caused Indian population to quickly dwindle away to the point where Indian Chiefs were forced to sign treaties with government. It's a sad fact that it's only matter of time till Native Americans will become "extinct." Not for Palestinians. they're not using horses & arrows.

More news out of Israel....

Israel 'breaking law' with Gaza war

Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann has been a vocal
critic of the Israeli offensive [Al Jazeera]

The president of the United Nations General Assembly has accused Israel of violating international law with its war on Gaza in which almost 1,100 Palestinians have been killed, nearly half of them civilians.

"Gaza is ablaze. It has been turned into a burning hell," Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann told an emergency session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday.

He said Israel's offensive was "a war against a helpless, defenceless and imprisoned people" and accused Israel of carrying out attacks on civilian targets.

"The violations of international law inherent in the Gaza assault have been well documented: collective punishment, disproportionate military force [and] attacks on civilian targets, including homes, mosques, universities, schools," he said.

He also rebuked UN member-states for their lack of action over the crisis, saying: "The [UN Security Council] may have found itself unable or unwilling to take the necessary steps to impose an immediate ceasefire, but outsourcing that effort to one or two governments, or through the quartet, does not relieve the council of its own responsibilities under the UN charter.

"The council cannot disavow its collective responsibility. It cannot continue to fiddle will Gaza burns."

Gaza war 'genocide'

An Israeli delegate had sought to block the session on procedural grounds by arguing that under the UN charter the 192-member assembly could not rule on a matter already being tackled by the Security Council, but the move was dismissed.

D'Escoto noted that the Security Council last week had called for a Gaza ceasefire leading to the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Israel has continued its offensive regardless of the resolution which was also rejected by Hamas.

D'Escoto, a former Nicaraguan foreign minister, told Al Jazeera on Tuesday that Israel's killings of Palestinians in Gaza amounted to "genocide".

Almost 1,100 Palestinians have been killed during Israel's Gaza offensive, which Israel says is to stop Palestinian rocketfire coming from Gaza.

Since it seems that the neocons of AD want to use pro-Israeli weblinks--here is another POV.

Children 'paying price of Gaza war'

More than 300 children are among the hundreds
of Palestinians killed in Israel's offensive [AFP]

Children are bearing the brunt of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip, the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) has said.

More than 300 children have been killed and hundreds more wounded in Israel's aerial and ground assault, Ann Veneman, Unicef's executive director, said in a statement released on Wedneday.

She said: "Each day more children are being hurt, their small bodies wounded, their young lives shattered. This is tragic. This is unacceptable.

"They are bearing the brunt of a conflict which is not theirs.

"As fighting reaches the heart of heavily populated urban areas, the impact of lethal weapons will carry an even heavier toll on children."

Lost childhood

Veneman said the war and bloodshed in Gaza would cause long-term psychological damage to children.

"The crisis in Gaza is singular in that children and their families have nowhere to escape, no refuge. The very thought of being trapped in a closed area is disturbing for adults in peace times," she said.

"What then goes through the mind of a child who is trapped in such relentless violence?"

Israel has said that it is trying to minimise civilian casualties as it targets Hamas fighters and their infrastructure, but Palestinian children are being subjected to harrowing experiences.

"I saw the soldier standing next to the shop. I looked for my mum and then he shot me. One bullet him my hand and the other went through my back and out through my stomach," Samar, a young girl, told Al Jazeera while recovering from her wounds at a Gaza hospital.

Amal, another young girl, wailed: "We have nothing to do with this, we don't fire rockets, we don't know what this war is about."

More than 40,000 pregnant women and their unborn children were also believed to be at risk because Gaza's overwhelmed hospitals were unable to take them in.

Traumatised

Dr Walid Sarhan, a Jordanian psychiatrist, said that if nothing is done to help traumatised children Gaza would begin to see advanced cases of psychiatric problems.

"The main one would be post-traumatic stress disorder, which is expected to rise 60 or 70 per cent among children," he said.

"Also they will have behavioural and emotional problems. They will have difficulties returning to school, going on to achieve in school, and this will not be in small numbers."

Mark Regev, an Israeli government spokesman, said that thousands of children in southern Israel were also suffering because of Palestinian rocket fire.

"Two weeks before this crisis started I went down south with my prime minister, Mr Olmert ... and he was given letters from fourth graders I believe, children who are nine and 10-years-old, who their entire lives have been on the incoming end of these Hamas rockets," he told Al Jazeera.

"You have a whole generation of Israeli children who unfortunately suffering similar trauma."

Remember this as well....56% of 1.5 million people in the Gaza strip are children.

For those of you that are "pro-life" but supporting Israel in this murderous act--sure are contradicting yourselves.

Uhh... excuse me. I am against a war and killing. For your info, I'm NOT pro-Israel or pro-Palestinians. I'm sure there are some pro-lifers are different POVs than 'steretypoes' po-lifers you used to see and 'hear' 'em before.

Oh, of course, children of rapists do not have values but wanted andhealthy children do.

WTF? The bold above doesn't make sense. Please clarify.

Then you will always be confused by those that are wanting to understand your POV better.

Guess not.

Save it.

I don't think you want to hear my POV about wanted children and children of rapists.

EDIT: And nor pro-choicers will.
