SAN ANTONIO – A man who rammed his truck into a woman's vehicle on a highway early Friday told authorities he crashed into her while going more than 100 mph because God told him "she needed to be taken off the road."

The truck rear-ended the car on U.S. Highway 281, both vehicles spun across a median then came to a stop along a barrier in the opposite lanes. Both drivers suffered only minor injuries.

"He just said God said she wasn't driving right, and she needed to be taken off the road," Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kyle Coleman said in the online edition of the San Antonio Express-News. "God must have been with them, 'cause any other time, the severity of this crash, it would have been a fatal."

The pickup driver did not tell police how the woman was driving. Police could not find alcohol or drugs in either driver.

A psychiatric evaluation has been ordered for a man.

steel x? <confused>

Sorry. It shows a picture of a kitten with crossed eyes saying "The voices are telling me to kill you!"

It's a minor joke as an example that the driver who rammed that lady was hearing voices in head, as well.

Bi-polar?

could be -- especially if he was experiencing auditory hallucinations. people who are bipolar and are severely manic often have auditory hallucinations and delusions of grandeur in which they think they are more powerful than anything on earth.

it's also possible that he could be schizophrenic.

oh, okay. thanks for the description. :)

i don't know if i can laugh at that (even though i understand the joke) only because i experience auditory hallucinations as part of my bipolar and it is anything but funny.

i wish i could laugh at your joke, but i can't. not this time. oh well.

hope you understand where i'm coming from and why i feel this way. :)

I know someone who has bi-polar disorder and he was a total disaster to me and my family. I am absloutely glad he is out of our lives for good.

was he on meds? if not, it's no wonder he had so much difficulty controlling his mood swings. when bipolars are off meds, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Nope. He ignored his needs for meds and dont even care what people think when he gets violent and scream at us over simple things.

He was the worst human being I ever met in my life.

One thing that was left out was the fact the kitten's ears are totally laid down. Cannot see the ears at all.

that's too bad because his life (and yours!) could have been *so* much better had he been on meds. i hate it when bipolars refuse meds. when that happens, it makes them and everyone in their lives miserable. :(

Oh yeah, definetly.
