I just wanted to share it with you guys since last night, I was so down because I miss him so much and want him to coming back to home. Can't stand to seeing him to be in army due to horror stuffs about Army and etc like that but, when he said something to me last night and it got me down more because he said that I'm his hero and he's always looking up to me because I'm always tough person, never give up on myself to anybody, always find a way to fight for myself, for my friends, for my family, EVEN for my daughter, he consider me as strong and my deafness makes me more stronger, he wants to be same as me and he wants to be strong like I am. When he do stuff in Army, he always think of me first thing, he wants me to be proud of him same like he is proud of me. Oh man, I miss him. Can't wait to see him again in December if he is able coming here. :sigh: He did graduate from Basic Army in OK but right now, he's in Texas to finish his Army Training in around March 2009.

Also, my dad and mom says that it's very true that my brother Robert always look up to me since he always follow where Im going to and everything like that when he and I was kids, he always tell them that he wants to be me. Even, when I moved to Washington State, he got depression and says don't know how to live without me but very proud of me being strong woman but can't believe that Im very success with my own life even I'm deaf which it don't stop me. He even told everybody that I'm his hero even no matter what if Im deaf or blind or whatever, I will be always his hero. :(

he's doing mighty good now - he's no longer in Army. He's doing med school right now. During his Army career as a medic - he's one of those heroes mentioned in many newspapers/news and he appeared in documentary show (Discovery channel??) - Rescue on Roberts Ridge

Wow that's great! I'm glad that he's doing good.

During my brother's Army Career, he's a medic also. He says once, he finish his Army and return back here to attend University and want to become Doctor but not sure what kind of Doctor yet.

This thread caught my attention! My brother's name is also Robert he will be leaving for Iraq in December. :(

He is getting married this weekend and I will see him at his wedding.

Funny.... that we both have a brother that is in the Army with same name.

I did make a thread about my brother in AD.

 You must be kidding me...

Wow, that's so odd. Yeah I can understand that feelings but I was fine with him being in army until last night when he and I spoke on AIM and he told me about how he feel about me, how hero I am to him and everything like that. It got me scared to letting him go once I see him again in December. But, once he graduate in around March 2009, not sure when but ONCE he graduates then he will come back to Michigan for attend to University to become a doctor, hopefully.

I know! It is weird.

My brother first went to Fort Knox in Kentucky. Then to Fort Hood Texas after he completed and graduated from basic training. He also trained at Death Valley in California

Maybe by the time your brother finishes his training the war will be over

Oh cool. He first went to somewhere in OK, right now he's in Fort Worth, Texas but when he's finish with it, then Army is done for him and comes back to Michigan to being attend to University. In Army, his Career is Medic.

Maybe, who knows. I hope!

Myself, I hate wars so much no matter what if my brother is part of Army or not.

Fort Knox? Sounds like your brother is in mechanized unit.
