Peet Hall or Benson Hall?

yea u are right cuz very late to made announcement that Benson would be freshmen so they will make announcement abt freshmen will move to Benson during 2009-2010 acamedic year in advance so many people cant complain or whatever

Because of Ballard West/East will demolish? or other reason?

to get single room qualify by age or wheelchair or medication reasons with must be approved from OSWD (Office of Students with Disabilities) and/or ur family doctor so u are close to 35 yrs old and might can get single room if its available but I doubt it cuz of too late to ask them

I got e mail me got change room and found roommate with me. He is out country and cool. I see and no problem. :D

Cool

My room name is Benson Hall. Not Ballard North. :( Because I got e mail. He change it. So, I see no problem. :D

I know the name Cogswell but not Ballard, Krug, Benson. Who are they? Thanks ahead of time for your explanation.

I didn't went to Gallaudet. I went to NTID.

I think because of your age, North Ballard and West Ballard are usually for students who under 21, I think so.

Benson Hall is better than Ballard North/West, anyway.

Cogswell and Krug had to be removed due to murder incident back in 2001 and dont wanna look bad with still same name, so change to Ballard North/West

Thank you for telling me about Benson Hall better than Ballard North. :D

I hug you all of you. Any who goes. I say Good luck! :D

I hope to meet you someone. :D

I guess you are probably asking who the people are, right? :)

Cogswell of course is for Alice Cogswell, and her father Mason Cogswell.

Ballard is for Melville Ballard, he was the first person ever to graduate from Gallaudet. He received his degree in 1866. You can read about him here: Ballard Residential Complex - North & West - Gallaudet University

Krug is for Walter Krug, he graduated from Gallaudet in 1927. He was a faculty member and he was the "dean of men" for many years...was in charge of making sure the male students behaved and did well. :)

Benson is for Elizabeth Benson, she was a hearing person who was an interpreter, a faculty member, and the "dean of women" - same job that Krug had. The most famous dean of women was Elizabeth Peet, and Peet Hall is named for her. You can read about Elizabeth Benson here: Benson Hall - Gallaudet University

Ok, you miss to reply my post #101?

I means Ballard North/West, just despite "East".

yea sorry I missed ur #101, anyway I doubt they will demolish Ballard North/West, maybe 5 years later or never...

When Benson Hall become freshmen dorm then who would sleep at Ballard West/North?

The Upperclassmen who used to be in Benson Hall, of course...

Why does they want change for freshmen to sleep at Benson Hall and upperclassmen who used to sleep at Benson Hall to sleep at Ballard West/North?
