"Now I pronounce You Chuchk and Larry"

I saw this movie last night. Man, I cldn't keep stop laughing. It s about two straight guys got married bec one guy need to be married in order to receive the benefits for his children. There is pretty lot of jokes (in my opinion it is really harmless but some pp may find this movie to be offensive) about gay and homophobia.

So my questions for gay community, what do you think of this movie? do you guys find this movie to be very offensive and degraded movie?

I think, that even in sometimes cheap and stereotypical comedy, this film managed to accomplish alot. I had a hard time seeing Adam Sandler in a slightly more serious role, but when I got over that, I realized this movie does alot more than present a comical "fake" marriage. It offers the growth of a friendship strong enough to lead to (fake) marriage and (what I found the most important) the two friend's own overcoming of homophobia.

This film wasn't amazing or life changing. It resorted to many stereotypes about the gay community to get it's point across. That said, it is a light hearted and enjoyable film, and I would suggest watching it just once with an open mind.

I do find this movie hilarous! I love it, people should watch this to get the glimpse of the gay community but it doesn't mean that the ppl in the movies is same for all gay people, no. There are various characters of gay people etc... hope y'll get a chance to watch this movie if you haven't!

The movie was tasteless and both actors weren't convincing.

Brokeback Mountain was more realistic.

Gotta to love that movie, "I, now, pronounce you, Chuck and Larry."

And won't watch "Brokeback Mountain." Too 100% gay for me.

Haven't watched that before, I guess I am going to give it a shot

I own Brokeback Mountain, and love it. It's more about the understanding of true love.

How can one pretend to be straight when they are actually gay?

The movie showed that gay people had to pretend to be straight when they weren't.

I saw a movie, not too long ago, about two guys marrying . . . the setting was Australia and it was two older men. I found it touching upon the many social issues (and perception) that comes from two men simply being together "too much."

Is the Adam Sandler movie a knock-off of this one (like Priscilla, Queen of . . .)?

I don't want to see it because of my friends told me about it and, of course, trailers from the TV, ya dummy.

The knock off movie of "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" is " Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar" with Patrick Swayze.

You don't have to watch it if you do not want to, I heard it was suppose to be funny and Adam Sandler is one of my fave actor. I'm starting to like Kevin James as an actor. I watched him on the TV show of "The King of Queens" and the movie "Hitch", he's a real funny guy.

Australia's Priscilla - America's Too Wong Foo

Australia's Strange Bedfellows - America's Chuck and Larry

They nixed the kiss at the end of the film so that it would not get an 'R' rating. Seems the censors believe that two guys kissing was the same as two straight people having sex.

I like Adam Sandler and Kevin James as the actors, too, and, they are in my list. But the movie, that I don't want to see is "Brokeback Mountain."

I've seen the movie and have purchased a dvd of it.

It is funny to it's own right but however, there were some seriousness to it.

It's interesting as to how it is portrayed w/ the stereotypes and how they have defied the odds. In the end, they've became closer and their friendship has became stronger.
