Hate Crime?

This is my first thread I've made in the Closet forum.

The reason I am posting this thread because I watched a HBO channel of this true story "The Laramie Project" (sp?) It was about two young men face murder charges for beating of Homosexual student who attended college at University of Wyoming. I was curious if any of you homosexual or bisexual ever experience being beating because you are homosexual or bisexual?

Are you talking about the Mathew Shepard case? It was pretty bad - *sigh*

Not really, but then I don't talk much about it.

Yes, Matthrew Shepard Case, He was beaten and he died at the hospital, those two boys left him there for 17 or 18 hours alone.

Yeah, I saw that too.. That was such a sad movie. And I can't believe the girlfriends of those two guys didn't really do anything to help Matthew.

I've never seen it... but I do know that there was a play by that same title and shown here at RIT a couple years ago.

I think the reason why there is a hate crime because of jealousy.

Maybe like Hitler, he was jealous of the Jewish people who were rich.

And also, when 3 white men burned down houses in Maryland,
one man said he lost his baby... and want people to hire him
and feel sorry for him.... but they won't... but those people
hire Blacks... And Blacks live in those houses in Maryland.
So he and his friends burned down the houses there...
Anybody read this in the news?

And also... when I posted my sad stories... many people
pour in... and pity pity me....
And some people here said, "why pity her, my situation is bad....
I have to work and take care my kids so and so... "
And I guess everybody got problems...

So I think people don't want people to hire me because I have Treacher Collins Syndome, or cause you are gay, or cause you are deaf... or cause you are black, and they want to drop the Affirmative Action
pity pity pity.....

And whatever the reason why those 2 guys beat up the gay guy....
it must be the jealousy reason....
maybe those guys don't like to see the gay guy giving special priviledge...

And that is why I was like, so what you are gay, I have Treacher Collins Syndrome.

I think everybody need to stop feeling sorry for each other....
and go out and be yourself... and stop using your disability or race or sexual orientation as CRUTCHES....
and go out and help each other, love each other... and treat everyone
equal....

Right???

Cheri, I cant say I have been a victim of hatred because I am gay. I am straight but I have been victim of hatred while working in inner cities because they thought I was this rich white girl.
