Buddhism

Seems like I am the first one to set up a thread about Buddhism, maybe I was wrong.

I wonder anyone are Buddhism or any kind of Buddhism (Theravada, Mahayana, Tibetan, etc)?

I was used to be Roman Catholic, but found that it was not match to my beliefs, so I researching then I decide a silly pick, Wicca. But I still feel alittle ridicilious to do the spells, spending money on the spells everyday to do the spells to tapping God, so I try and look around to find a simple. So I researched about Buddhism, and found Theravada suited me. All I do is set up a Buddha statue, sit, close eyes, think with my soul. I am more comfortable with that. Also I like the Wheel of Life system, it's like video game on life. And what's more, I think Buddhism is very beautiful

Also my other question is what do you think about Buddhism?

I am very sorry that I haven't been around here lately because I went up to Puyallup State Fair working with my parents, and then I decided to go to Yakima Fair with my parents to work more, somehow when I came back and discovered that my computer had collasped. So I won't be using the computer as often as I was used to.

Thanks everyone

Sorry to disappoint you that someone else already created his thread.

Yes I find Buddhism very interesting. I'm not an expert about this but I am still learning to know Buddhism better and what they are...

Buddism is NOT part of a new age movement.. it's been practiced in Asia for a long time.. It was brought here to the US by people who practiced it.

Buddahism is interesting, but it does seem a wee bit too trendy. Everyone and their brother is into Buddahism these days.

Correctly, Buddhism was found in 800 AD, and New Age is not that old...

Thank you. I wasn't sure when it was first practiced. So i didn't give specifics..

It's amazing what people consider "new age" nowadays. A lot of practices that have been going on for years, are being considered new age just because they have never been seen here in the US before.
