I have seen some Christians citing verses from the Book of Revelation. It's apparent that they don't really know the history. The Revelation was rife with many Greek grammatical errors.

"Lastly, the Gospel is written in nearly flawless Greek, but Revelation contains grammatical errors and stylistic abnormalities which indicate its author may not have been as familiar with the Greek language as the Gospel's author."

Christians try to explain that John did that on purpose. Yeah, right! They say the Bible's perfect with no contradictions or errors but that is absolutely not true. The Bible has plenty of errors.

No error in it. Today is no different as of old, they argue Jesus, they argue Moses, they argue Noah, and today still going. Revelation is very tough to understanding of all of this. What John saw he couldn't described what that is. Like helicopter, bombs, cars, and etc. Bec he wouldn't know, that's why what he saw is the best he can described. As what is written exactly what daniel, ezekiel, and other prophets has desctibed, no conflicts. And what Jesus said and shared with His disciples about the end times. And what's going on right now is already mentioned what Jesus said.

Let that message show you how delusional Christians can be.

Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. He is NOT the Author of Confusion.

Revelation is somethin' we don't see yet, because it hasn't arrived. As I see the world is changin', I've seen things are about to change what the Revelation reveals - its unfoldin' slowly. We are gettin' close to it, but it is NOT our time. It's GOD's Time to unfold Himself. We don't know WHEN. Only God Himself knows. :)

Exactly right, cyber. Even egyptians studied but seeing their intellectual still downfall and also the greeks. All the study is good in someway, but stealing from God what God has given them been perverted. But Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. God offers all thru the lifetimes, but yet, many still trying to find the other way. As of happen in Noahs time, Moses times, Abrahams time, and today isn't happen yet, but will happen when those who refuse to receive Gods given grace thru Jesus Christ out of His love.

Please don't lump ALL Christians in one group. Not EVERY Christian has a "literal" view of the Bible.

Can we stay on topic please, and not rudely insult other posters?

Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. He is NOT the Author of Confusion.

No, he isn't. You are sadly mistaken. Confucius is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Which is more reliable ?

a) The Wikipedia
b) The Bible

That's your choice

No insult intended. Just making a point why Christianity (or any religion) should never be taken literally or it will lead to religious conflicts.

don't forget this one: http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/rev/1.html

you are right, there are plenty of contradictions and they can be found at this link to show you clearly!

I now knew that the bible is full of holes and not 100% truth.

If I make a true statement in Spanish, but I have an accent when I pronounce it, or I use a grammatical construction that has a non-native sound to it, but my point is still understandable, I don't think that invalidates what I would've said.

Anyway, I still need a LOT of study of Revelation...that's one I haven't gone near yet, so I can't comment any more about this.

Confucius is dead, and Jesus lives. Only Jesus is the Life because only Jesus can offer eternal life. Confucius cannot offer eternal life. The "way" of Confucius is a dead end.

Wikipedia, no doubt about it. The Bible has made many errors and contradictions.

Unlike the Bible that refuses to change when faced with errors, Wikipedia is continously corrected. Wikipedia is much more modern and stays updated while the Bible was written more than 2000 years ago with no significant changes.

Really? Where is Jesus?
I thought he died.. according to the bible. (yeah of course it also said ascended... )

Would that be like Stargate SG1 tv show where they do actually ascend! but they are not gods. that's why I find evolution so damming true! when they ascend, they evolve!

but here on earth, oh no! if we ascend, we don't evolve, that's what those bible thumper folks wants to believe.

so if we die, our soul lives... OOOOOkkkkkkAAAAyyyy.. let's say it is evolution! :D cuz we went from human to spirits WOW!!!

eh

No, it doesn't.

The Bible doesn't have errors, so there is no need to change it. That is the beauty of the Bible; it doesn't change, it is dependable. God's word doesn't change to fit the political correctness of the day. Its truths are eternal.

Wikipedia is totally undependable because everyone and his brother edits it.

Poster Admits Wikipedia Bio Hoax

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A man who posted false information on an online encyclopedia linking a prominent journalist to the Kennedy assassinations says he was playing a trick on a co-worker.

Brian Chase, 38, ended up resigning from his job and apologizing to John Seigenthaler Sr., the former publisher of the Tennessean newspaper and founding editorial director of USA Today.

"I knew from the news that Mr. Seigenthaler was looking for who did it, and I did it, so I needed to let him know in particular that it wasn't anyone out to get him, that it was done as a joke that went horribly, horribly wrong," Chase was quoted as saying in Sunday editions of The Tennessean.

Chase said he didn't know the free Internet encyclopedia called Wikipedia was used as a serious reference tool.

The biography he posted, which has since been replaced, falsely stated that Seigenthaler was linked to the Kennedy assassinations and had lived in the Soviet Union from 1971 to 1984.

The entry motivated Seigenthaler to write an op-ed piece for USA Today blasting Wikipedia's credibility. He described himself as a close friend of Robert Kennedy and said he had worked with President Kennedy. He said "the most painful thing was to have them suggest that I was suspected of their assassination."

Seigenthaler said he doesn't plan to pursue legal action against Chase.

He also said he doesn't support more regulations of the Internet, but he said that he fears "Wikipedia is inviting it by its allowing irresponsible vandals to write anything they want about anybody."

Jesus died, resurrected here on earth, then ascended to Heaven where He lives now, until He comes again.

Every person's soul is eternal; some will be eternally in Heaven, some eternally in hell. In Heaven, we will get our resurrection bodies; we will not be wispy spirits floating about. It is not an evolution of the body because it is not the result of natural gradual change; it is an immediate supernatural transformation.
