interpreting career

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.

I'm thinking about going to school for sign language and I was wondering how interpretors feel about their jobs. Can you tell me anything about sign language interpreting as a job?

I'd be happy to...but what do you want to know? There are lots of us on here, I'm sure others will chime in too, if you explain what you might like to know about.

I am not an Interpreter yet but I can tell you that I love the language and the people. and the other interpreters that I have talked to say they love their job.
