Angry YouTube!!

I have always wondered why YouTube doesn't offer captioning capability on the videos they offer! I know it's probably because the videos are user-generated, but there has to be a way, somehow! I've tried to figure out how to contact them and don't know where to go. Anyone else have any answers or ideas as to what I can do about it?

Are you insane? It's PEOPLE's choice who they decide to place the video with or without.

And there is already caption optional called "annotations"

Interacting with Videos
I probably was insane at that moment, yes. Ok ok, I get your point. I'll do the research.

YouTube is a public website where people post any video they want (as long as it follows their guidelines). Videos are uploaded by various users and we can't expect every single user to add captioning to their videos. It's not the job of YouTube to add captioning to every video that's uploaded. There are thousands of videos being uploaded daily. If they were to do it, then YouTube would become a paysite. Would you like that?

There is no regulations with FCC relating to CC with online media because it's not related to media which FCC controls thru the air, cable and DVD/blu ray. That is why you don't see captioning much with online media.

The internet is "new technology." American states have attempted to harness its powers by taxing it . . . without any great enforcement. The internet challenges government on all levels. The American federal goverment has made it a point to enforce child pornography morals. I think it justified and I think it narrowly focused.

Youtube DOES have captioning now

Youtube does have captioning now. I just noticed it tonight after their lastest update.
This is the reason I have come here.
I am not deaf but have posted a few videos on YT I would like to caption.
They list a few captioning companies. I visited them but am lost.
Does anyone know any reliable captioning/subtitling software?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't for the life of me figure it out.
I thought I was computer literate but even with their help section I am lost.
