It has the subtitle so you need to turn it on. I watched it using that.

Yeh, I saw that movie recently tonight and thought it was a good movie, but the plot didn't really fit well for 10,000 BC period. SDH is easy to read and It was not a problem for me. I watched it on a 62" HDTV with a Sony DVD player with hdmi cable connected. It looks almost like blu ray quality.

Funnily enough, I just watched the movie on Blu-ray before I came onto here and responded to this thread. The movie looked stunning, but the story was lacking strength.

Yup because of digital issue.

You are really can't watch this movie with analog CC in 480p, digital CC is limited to tv shows and movie via network.

You are struck with SDH, that it.

SDH is good, but one problem is when the movie show very bright white, and the caption itself is white letter. I can't read it at all until the background show the opposite color.

Why not change the colors of the SDH when making the subtitles to be clear against the backgrounds?

I hate Subtitle or SDH becuase they are limit one but I like Digital CC have lot of options for any color text, backbround, size fonts, becuase subtitle and SDH are messyup fonts each movie (exp: Harry Pottery is tiny text, other is big font etc..)

I want Black Soild Background, White larage bold Arial

DVD and Blu-Ray can't add becuase too small bytes space but Digital CC options bulti-in HDTV or DVR

Deaf People will complint, they want choose options

No, that's not why. There is plenty of room for it.

I found an example of a program that lets you change the fonts and colors of the subtitles you add to a video.

How much data can you fit on a Blu-ray disc?

A single-layer disc can hold 25GB.
A dual-layer disc can hold 50GB.

To ensure that the Blu-ray Disc format is easily extendable (future-proof) it also includes support for multi-layer discs, which should allow the storage capacity to be increased to 100GB-200GB (25GB per layer) in the future simply by adding more layers to the discs.

How much video can you fit on a Blu-ray disc?

Over 9 hours of high-definition (HD) video on a 50GB disc.
About 23 hours of standard-definition (SD) video on a 50GB disc.

Anyone who can afford Blu-ray movies??? No more worry! Regular DVD is now ancient player.

I prefer to use sub titles. So since I watched the movie lat night it was okay, not much in the story lines in the movie just not much of excitment I like to see. But I would say the movie is okay. I wouldn't give them an oscar award for that movie.

There is a bandwidth limit on how much data can be transferred from a DVD for movies. So in nearly of all cases, there are plenty of room for subtitles on DVD.
