InSight Cinema

Make sure, you know that Tripod.org is no longer where you can check the schedule for movie with subtitle at your location. It has move to it own website... http://www.insightcinema.org/

Tripod.org will be possible fade away... bye bye

Tripod sucks. They never can guarantee anything. I hope this new company is better.

Well that link helped me last night to find out what's the close caption movie in Rochester, considering the OC was not listed for the Rochester Movies... "Bringing Down the House" with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.. it's funny, not bad..

I can't wait to see Agent Cody Banks. That looks like a good interesting movie.

Another Way To Watch Movies!

HEY GUYS! You know there is another way to watch movies- REAR WINDOW CAPTIONING!
IT is a uh small portable tinted window that you read on instead of the captions on the big screen...
it is hard to describe it in words because it will require a long elabortation!

http://ncam.wgbh.org/mopix/nowshowing.html

check it out. I am SO sure it doesn't exist in every state so dont get your hopes high. For more accuracy, it is best that you call the theatre that regularly provided the OC movies and ask them if they also provided RWC (they dont advertise this too much BECAUSE hearing people are going to that movie too and they cannot afford to have both HEARING and DEAFIES to OVERCROWD for a movie. So... SHHH- PASS ON THE WORD AROUND THE BUSH! Just tell them you heard it from a little bird...)

I am not pretty confortable with this device. It required me to give my driver license and carry this device in front of people before enter the theatre.

That theater is only closer to my location that has subtitle available.

NOW you mention it... I totally understand your fear because the second-to-the-worst scenario did happen to me.... a movie theatre that carries RWS does have the same policy... so I turned in my driver license card... and I found out that they DID give my license card to SOMEBODY ELSE. a DUDE (i am a girl, and it is a pic of me having a long BLONDE hair so how could they confuse me for somebody else that has a SHORT hair ) I was so mad because the movie theatre was closing and I could not leave w.out my frigging driver license card so I told the manager that they have to cough up the moolah (they ended up giving me two free movie tickets, whee! 8bucks worth each). I was looking thru their "lost and found" box and saw a driver license card belonging to a guy that I KNEW from highschool and his name starts with K like mine and i just KNEW it was him that the movie gave to because he has numerous of communication deficits so i am sure the manager/worker misheard his name and grabbed the weird sound name- MINE *Kirsi* so so... DONT GIVE THEM YOUR DRIVER LICENSE! Just give them your school id or any card that has your name on it..... [GRUMBLING!]

Lately, it seems like InsightCinema is behind or slow on updating their movies.

hmmph it took Gally 80-something years to finally have a deaf president.. and it happened 20 years ago ... CC movies have been around since 90s... so dont hold your breath about the CCmovies being shown everyw
