I am very fortunate to be part of Alldeaf. Since I am HOH and my wife is deaf, it a huge challenge for us to raise our 2 hearing girls.
Alldeaf is a great place for me to get away from the hearing world. I grew up in the hearing public schools in Okinawa, Japan. I did not use sign langauge for the last 6 years and I have forgetten how to sign. When I came back to the U.S., no one used sign language at the public schools i went to. When i met my wife, i was dumbfounded because my wife signs beautifully and I am stuck in the mud LOL. So my wife taught me how to sign more and once I learned my langauge, everything that I have learned in my early childhood, has came back. Now I am teaching my two hearing daughter to speak orally in Japanese, Spainish, and English as well as teaching them to sign in ASL and SEE.
Life is good for us and we are blessed by God. God has been good to us and I am very fortunate to be alive today!

Hi Roger! Glad to meet you and your wife here at AD. I used to join forums but was absent for many months. I hope to resume joining forums and start blogging. I'm a Christian also.
