The days are going by so quickly, despite the fact that I don't have much to do. It's been 6 days already?! I just can't believe it. And I'm actually okay for the most part! I know that I will still have hard moments, especially late at night when it's dark and I can't sleep. What can I say? I miss having someone to love.... and I really never believed that someone I thought loved me so much could do ... THAT ... to me. (sigh) I'm so naive.

I just joined all deaf, It seems cool. I have been hard of hearing since birth! I live in Rochester, NY, and have most of my life. I worked in photo studio for almost 2 yrs. And now I want to continue to be a photographer. I love photographing families, couples, and babies!! I want to get more involved with deaf families as well. so many bloody parents are opting the oral method with this attitude "learn our way or hit the highway" and the child doesn't have a choice or a voice.

It's so tiring to read that they think Oral only education is the best option, but they should be reading about the risks of putting their child through that way and look at numerous studies showing such evidence. And meeting many ex-Oralists would help disabuse their perceived opinions.
