1st day of work!

Posted 01-11-2012 at 01:00 AM by sunshinegirl

Monday was my first day of work as an infant and toddler preschool teacher. I was sooooo excited that I finally got a job =) it was pretty hard finding one and having someone hired me because of my hearing. it is pretty challenging in some way because i can not keep my eyes off any toddler. since they are so active, in any second they can hit their head, bite another child. so yeah, i need to keep my eyes wide open!

what kind of job do you have? what challenges do you go through?...

it has been so long since i had opened this account. i wasnt coming often but now i am thinking of coming more often..... so today i had an appointment to get a new hearing mold. i like going to that office because the girl who does the hearing test is also HOH and that makes me feel more comfortable =) ... while i was siting there i remember when i was a little girl and getting my hearing check (about 15+ years ago). my parents were inside with me while i was being tested. i was trying so hard...

Mom and Alzheimer's

Posted 12-30-2011 at 01:39 PM by saywhatkid (Saywhatkid's observations)

I wrote this blog a couple of years ago, but it is a topic that recently came up again. Here is my experience with Alzheimer's.

What did Santa bring you?

December 26, 2009

I have been somewhat silent these last couple of months, because I cannot write something I don’t feel. However, I have had something going on in my world that has been both enlightening and sobering. It is….watching Mom begin to leave my life.

I knew her mind...
