That beautiful muscular car, I like that one (first pic). Anyone like muscular cars? (What kind of muscular cars you like?)

Then this new looks which already came out (I still like original muscular car in the first pic and liked that wheels)

Chevy Freak here...if I insert pictures, it will take lots of pages.. so I will just list them.

34 Coupe, 55 Belaire, Corvettes, Camaros, (not 74-87), 78-79 Malibu, 66-72 Chevelle, 66-67 Chevy II, and many more.

If I had more $ than brains, I'd love to have these musclecars in my garage..

1) 1970 AMC Javelin Trans-Am Edition with the AMX 390 motor and painted to look like a French flag.

2) 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351

3) 1967 Corvette 435 hp 427 cube V8 with 3 carbs on the manifold. Now that's 1960s fast lol.

4) 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A

5) If I had 1/2 a brain, I'd probably combine a 1971 Olds 442 with a 1971 Oldsmobile VistaCruiser wagon to make an ultimate sleeper lol. Sad was the factory didnt even make one though.

Hubby says good choice. (He grew up in Lansing, MI, where Olds was king at the time.) He was considering buying a 1972 VistaCruiser because it was available in all color choices with the 455 c.i. engine with the dual air scoops, Positraction rear with a choice of gears up to 4.56, sway bars, etc. All the options were available with the exception of the W35 option. Everything was available to make it a 442 except the name plates.

If I had more dollars than brains, while i like the 67-69 Camaros or the 70's Corvettes too, but I wont be forgetting to oggle over other cars like italian and german exotics, if not muscles! (but look again at the wheels and engine its monsterous, hardly deniable that these indeed were 'muscles cars' just my opinion (maybe someone could correct me in this misguided assumption i dunno) But Hey! I llike a 1958 Ferrari Superfast dammit it could do 285k/hr 4 speed V12 whatever that monster guzzled i dont wanna know LOL This superfast also sported fishtails too....GTO250...GTO330LP...lamborghinin Contach....there is probably hundreds more but 'we dont see it' because it is too special, too uncommon and "not american", blah in a way thats a kind of 'car racism' thing Ok we do it alot to the Jap crap (which they ARE) but there are exceptions...like Skylines (i had a R30 skyline that did 160km/hr in 3rd gear with 2 more to go.....it was a 2ltr turbo charged race-bred motor from the 1982!! now... even back then (late 70s' -early 80's) Ferrari 308s could muster abit into 220-230k region with 4 more cylindars and 1 extra litre in capacity.....

I know , been in one, also the XU1 was a great car too, my brother had a mK1, with a 186 it was capable of doing close to 140 mph, and it gets there bloody quick too. Triple Stromberg carbs, hot cam worked the magic. His XU1 was a real one, not the LC mock up.
GTHO's Phase 3's now worth ALOT of money once there was a news highlight of one being sold for AUD$1,000,000 ! This particular one was orginal condition was very low mileage (not sure what it was). The colour was white with black stripes.
I had been in XU1's numerous times, and been in one 2 years just before my freind's had it shipped to USA as he is a car collector (told him he should keep it but was the money...didnt impressed me much that). but way yeah australian muscles in the 70's were great, heard lots good things about the A9X's too worth more than XU1's but I prefer Xu1 the looks is simply true to the boy racer's dream image-wise and I like it. One day I might think about 'making a mock up' but try get as close as i can but with a 202 version, the gearbox part is going to be hassle to get this close.

the film version of the interceptor had used a chrysler 340 v8 in place of the believed 351 (ofc thats a ford...but rumour is that they wanted a light v8 and small enough to house on a dummy blower that operate on a electric motor - giving the 'flick on the blower (gear shift in the film) effect. Honestly I'm not sure if this is true but it seems probable, i will look for the link (tried just before but bit hazy about where it is , when i find it id post up the link to show)
Cheers

Now as you guys speak of having more money then our brains,

I would like to get me 67 Camaro, install 69 Camaro rear sway bars onto it since 69 Camaro launches the best back then down the quarter mile. Then overhaul 350 small block engine with modern technology to improve the true power with 3.55 or 3.42 with positraction rearend.

67 Chevy Nova II with supercharged corvette 350 sm blk engine backed up by custom built transmission that can manage 600+ hp that runs with hwy rearend gears such as 3.08.

55 Belaire with a big horsepower pumping out of a 406 small block, powerglide, and 4.88 rear for cement digging down the street.

My father grew up hard way becoming professional mechanic, had lots of classics on hand before I was born. He had 55 and 57 Belaire, 66 Nova, 73 Corvette with bored 400, 69 Chevelle SS and by the time I was around, he had a 69 Impala with 327 mean engine in it. He had to sell them all off becuz of 1970s money problems nationwide to keep the house raising us boys. He decided to get a family car and got bored not having a mean street car so he put in a 350 small block bored to 369 (0.060) and put in his customized number camshaft, 400 crankshaft... drove it for years until about three years ago the engine retired. He installed a 406 engine with 350 long journal crankshaft, his own numbered camshaft, fuel injection, 3.55 posi rear, stock SUV exhaust heads with customized dual exhaust system (2.75) and is driving it on and off nowadays. He clocked it at 10.33 seconds in the quarter mile and I borrowed it one time drove it at 75 mph on the hwy smashed the gas pedal, the car danced for a while until I hit 95 mph. It runs like a jet in a four door 79 Malibu. Yes a street sleeper. eh.

I used to own 79 Malibu with three different 350 engines, two broken rearends, twisted the frame, so we took it apart. threw it out...kept the extras for his other 79 malibu and my brother has a 78 malibu with 410 small block street race car runs flat 10s. We all do not believe in using Nitrous. He currently also own 94 and 96 Impala SS. My brother owns 99 Pontiac GTX, upgraded brake system, chips, transmission, and he clocked it at 12.96. He wants to bore it, and few more upgrades but no time to do so until he does. I own nothing in similar until I have the money to. I got four kids to raise first. Then I will start looking. eh.
