Yeah, I used to have 1982 Holden Commodore Station Wagon, but I sold it last year, when I bought the new car. It is DUAL fuel, yes. I have a picture of my old car, somewhere.

I alway get gasonline when I see 1/4 tank before E and doesn't happened to me until last year...

I drove 17 years old VW Golf... 1/4 tank was still there... I was like wow and gasonline save... what is an odd..., I say to myself... I continue to drive... but 1/4 tank still remain the same... until I was middle of countryside highway... the car does stop itself... Someone helped me to push my car back to side of road and call ADAC to look at my car. I thought it's normal because my car is very old... it could be dead? ADAC service came... and check... and said that tank is empty... I was like and told him that 1/4 tank is still remain... He laugh and said that meter is broke... He said that I do not need to have it repair because it's too old... All what I do is check how many km then tank, not look at broke tank... VW Golf car get old and died last February 2008, so we bought one year old Mecrede-Benz A150.

I don't recall really runs out of gas. I recalled driving 67 chevrolet C10 classic pickup one time. It was already below "E" and I arrived at gas pump and was about to shut off engine but it died before I turn off the engine. Whew. I always fill tanks when it reached 1/4. It's just my habit since I was 16.

My oldest brother had bad habit running out of gas. He always have gas can with him in the car or truck.

Then i was exciting to drive my Tahoe again to go to RIT, i didnt notice gas then i started to back up, drove on Jefferson Road, pfffttyyy.. I was like WTF?! looked at and its EMPTY! i was so pissed off and i wyndtell him and blew him up. he was apoligized because he was scared to tell me that hes broke with no money by spend up too much at bar and club. I got stuck on Jefferson Road. I had to call insurance co and ask for tow to get gas. So, it did.

When I had the car back then, it costs around 45 cents per litre but right now they are at around 65 to 75 cents per litre. Doesn't matter, I don't care for LPG anymore, they sux.

Besides less millage, why does LPG suck? I recently brought a new commodore (only coz it was cheap and well maintained), and I have been thinking of converting it to LPG...

LPG's good and cheap but it could weak the engine and worn it out in the long term, such it ruined my engine.

I kinda disagree how it running out of gas on fuel injection car would ruin the engine. Once EFI car runs out of gas. Simply fill the gas and turn on the ignition (dashboard light lits), Don't start the car. Wait for 2 minutes to allow fuelpump pump the gas into engine's Fuel Injection line and pressurized. Overpressurized fuel will return back to tank (recycling fuel back to tank). Then fire up the car. You should get the car up and running no time.

I have had several friends who ran out of gas many times and they didn't have problem with EFI cars after filling up gas.

I also fixed old 1990 Mazda 626 few months ago. It have EFI and had no fuel for long time. My friend tried to start the car but starter won't work.. He replaced sparkplugs, distributor caps, sparkplug wires and repaired car wiring and ignition switch, changed oil, filters, ect. I came along and took me 10 min observing and thinking and few min hooking up starter solenoid with long wire. I touched the wire to (+) battery terminal. I got the car fired up and it won't run. Cranked several times and I asked him if he have starting fluid. Then he sprayed starting fluid in and I fired up car again. It roars to life and ran fine for short time. I told him it's a fuel pump.

My friend said it took him Hell few weeks to fix the car and took YOU 15 min to get car up and running!! He was about choke on me. . So I figure it's fuelpump. I quickly use voltmeter and found that the fuel pump isn't getting juice from battery. SO I had to bypass wire to fusebox w/ ignition on/off fuse. Pump finally work and I let it run couple of min then fired up the car. The car ran smooth and purrrs. My friend finally able to use the car after 5 years of sitting in parking lot (abandoned by former owner) and 4 month sitting in garage (He bought it for $1 ). He had been using car ever since save gas driving to and from work. I haven't heard any problem with fuel injected car that ran out of gas.

I'm sorry, I find this quite funny. You should have looked at the gas gauge before you got on the road or all of this wouldn't have to happen.

Jolie, i know..i was so pissed off on that day, went to class late, took a exam: know what? my mind is blank because of that incident, so frozen. Then last half hour left, i rushed to answered most of them on exam as i can. Then, went to other class, my professor tell me that i have to see him at his office after this class. *growls* then after class, went to his office and talk what. He said that why should i take his class. I told him, because it is easy? He said he plan to have me to transfer to other class because i ace his class. DAMN. No challenge. *growl* Later, that day, my professor email me that say that i got A on exam that i took at this morning. That's friggin' up and hope hes accident to send wrong person because there is 3 guys that have same name as i have. Turn it out, nope its right person. Jeez. What a day that has turned out for me.

i spent stupid 55 bucks to fill my Tahoe up. Know what? i smelt something funny in back in the Tahoe. Found condom laying on it and of course im upset. I had to pissed off and yelled at him up. He apoligized and offered me a dinner, i told him you have no cash and he said it just arrived at this afternoon by mail and proved me. I was like, *groan* fk it.

People, if you read this, do not let people borrow your cars or suv if they plan to have a one night stand or so. Yikey.
