Hello! I have seen numerous posts here on AllDeaf regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act, and I am just wondering if there is a Canadians with Disabilities Act? I don't consider myself disabled, but I know the government does, so I would like to know what my rights are (if I have any). I figure it doesn't hurt to know them, right? Anyways, I tried searching for a CDA on Google, but came up with nothing, and I have no clue where to go now. If anyone could lead me to a similar act to the ADA that is for Canadians, or tell me what it is called, or if it even exists, I would be very grateful! Also, should I read the ADA?
Thanks in advanced!

There are 12 deaf schools in Canada and each province has it's own deaf association, correct?

I think there is a deaf association for each province - I am fairly certain my province has one (to be truthful, I looked at the website and forgot about it until now - I'm going to go look at it again). Thanks so much for the links, I appreciate it! And you are right about the deaf schools, those are the only ones I have heard of still being around, although some of those listed by Wikipedia have been closed.
