A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane ...
Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney.
The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes..

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind.
A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.
He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?'

The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Max would Like to stretch his legs.'

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog!
The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.
People scattered.
They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

I cared for a retired seeing eye dog before, such ignorant people! :laugh2:

You're so right . I was out with my daughter and granddaughter who was around 4 yo and my hearing dog Finlay . We're at a clothing store and I was watching my grandchild and a saleslady came up to me and started asking a thousand and one questions about my dog who was wearing his vest that had 'Hearing Dog ' printed on 3 places , his leash and collar also had 'Hearing Dog' on them. The saleslady asked me if "I was blind." WTF! I her told" I am watching my grandchild and did not have time to talk to her" The idiot asked me a second time "If I was blind" . I had people thinking I was blind a lot and my hearing dog was wearing his working vest.

I saw this story about the 'blind pilot before and it's very funny.

Maybe they thought your dog was just making a fashion statement with the vest.

j/k :)

I was at Market Basket with Finlay and a blind man was there with his guide dog and a woman . I got out of the way so and had Finlay sit and stay the guide dog see my hearing dog and start to pull the blind back b/c he want to play with my dog . It was a good thing the woman was with the blind as he could had fell. I was surprises that guide tried to play with my dog. Finlay was a good boy and did as told.
