I have been emailing back and forth to HR recruiter. He offered me an interview on this Friday (in-person interview). I responded back that I would like to have American Sign Language interpreter during the interview. He mentioned that he will look for interpreter and also will follow up the location to meet in office.

It's been two days that I hasn't heard from him yet. I know it is kinda too soon but I just want to be on right track for deaf right. If I didn't hear from him until Friday (two days from now). Is that against ADA law for being silence or refusing to email me back even though he already mentioned that he will look for interpreter?

Did you include in email a list of sign language interpreter agencies? and/or the name of 2-3 sign language interpreters?

Not an ADA violation

the recruiter is probably looking into it for proper reply hence the reason for no response as it sounds like his first time. Its not a ADA violation unless you get a email reply saying sorry they wont provide a terp without a reason explaining why it could be a hardship.

In your response or rebuttal I'd offer a workaround or follow up and make sure he got your email and if they have any questions offering assistance in finding a terp and maybe a few contact info . Make sure you start out the email stating you are interested in the job and you are available immediately. perhaps add a few tidbits about your self that would appeal to the job you are applying for. remember dont over do it.. just a little is better.

We deaf and hoh have to work harder and smarter then our hearing folks just to get our foot in the door.
