Kansas do not require inspection on all vehicles every year. It's just for new or out of state vehicles or motorcycle bought from store or former owner. After that, you don't have to worry about the inspection yearly. In Missouri, they are REQUIRED by law. I've had friend who had cracked windshield on car and he was told to get the glass replaced or else they would not pass inspection. Here in KS, I've seen some cars with cracked or smashed windshield still driving. Cops will give them ticket if pulled over for any violation.

I had a talk with my friend about motorcycle inspection. I told him why not just go ahead and add horn and swap brake light. Ignore the signaler for now unless DMV have their say. If it is required then yank off the signaller from his junked Kawaski and install it on Harley for short time. After passing inspection and get lic plate, rip it out. He would keep horn as required cuz of stupid soccer moms. LOL

Dont forget rear license plate, I was cited a few years ago for not installing one! LOL

My friend plan to have a Lic plate frame on side of harley, just place it vertically. He's looking for one or have someone make one for him.
