a person with a mild/moderate and even just entering the severe range can get good results from ITE's and ITC's. If one is comfortable with them so be it. It is actually nice not to have to worry about wearing glasses and aides from what I've heard. What you like may not be what I like. My 23 yo daughter still wears her digital ITE (could not get ITE's because of small ear canal) A person who has a good size ear canal can get great results from a smaller device. I have a smaller canal and ear structure but did get good results for quite some time, once the hearing dropped into the severe range they ITE's became less helpful and BTE was needed.
