i went there last year....
tips for those who are planning on visiting 'dam sometime in the future...
hostels....try to get a room at the flying pig hostel uptown...a very chill place and its in a quiet neighborhood...you gotta make your reservation ahead of time though...and you gotta be young...they have a age limit...
coffee shops...go to 'de rokerij'....excellent green...gets you really really toasted...
red light district...i did go to a sex show with two girls from australia...it was 20 euros for 5 mins of what was basically a real life porn...its a waste of your time and money...dont go...
food...febo and smullers...everyone needs to stop by there at least once if you are ever in de nederland...the food is ok...its more of a strange experience than anything...
shops...go to hempworks...they sell all kinds of cool stuff made from hemp...they sell fresh shrooms and neat pipes as well...their shrooms were pretty good...what an experience...
dont take those tips to heart though...i was only there for a couple of days on two separate occasions, so i didnt get to explore that much...for all i know, there may be better places to go to than the ones i suggested...
i hope to return to de nederland sometime soon....i miss that place...
