Peter... That's off topic.
DVR is stand for Digital Video Recorder. I do not keep DVR. When, I cancel my plan then we have to return HDTV with DVR back to Verizon FiOS.
I am not worry.... Our two HDTV(s) have build-in ATSC.
NTSC will no longer on middle of Feb 2009.
Many older TV do not have built-in ATSC then need special DTV or sign up with Cable or Satelite.
Original.... they had planning: NTSC will black-out by Dec 2006 but many people are not ready. They changed date from Dec 2007 to Feb 2009. Warning everyone to know to be ready by Feb 2009.
Most important to check DVD Recorder with built-in ATSC. Stay away NTSC. Lot people did not pay attention on DVD Recorder inculde built-in ATSC.
