Believe me, old guys can be very abusive. This guy doesn't appear to be in fragile health, and he apparently has a very domineering way. If he gets out in 15 years, he'll still be strong enough and intimidating enough to abuse people who are weaker than him, especially children. Also, he apparently has enough "charm" to fool people and gain their confidence. He could appear to be a friendly grandpa next door, instead of the sex offender that he is. What would prevent him from abusing again?
I don't think an 88-year-old pervert is funny; I think it's disgusting and scary.
