That depends on how you make it fun.
You can always try for achievements or play the side quests to take your mind off the missions. That's what I did when I played
GTA III for the Playstation 2.
(I made a mistake of doing the side quests later in the game instead of early in the game. Having enemies everywhere made it difficult to complete my quests.)
