I'm reviving Purr Meow's thread. I've had sinus problems for most of my life. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with a deviated septum and nasal polyps. I tried medical treatment for the condition, but I'm still getting sinus infections about every two weeks. Therefore, I opted to have surgery for the removal of the polyps. The surgery will take place this Wed. It will be outpatient. I will be home by the evening, and since I'm not having a general anesthetic (just being sedated with IV meds), I *may be* able to post by the evening.
I'm writing this to see if anyone has had this surgery and to find out exactly how bad it is, REALLY? I'm no stranger to surgery, but this one makes me squeamish. I don't like the thought of the surgeon's laser being *that close* to my brain. One slip, and.... OK, never mind!
I'm being silly, but I'm also being a wimp about this one. I've had well over 30 surgeries in my life time, but this one makes me nervous.
