The anime only covers the first 2 volumes of the manga. Another director is now working on a live action version that covers the first 3 volumes of the manga. Well there are some of movies that summarized lot of espodies like Akira, also other example, X (I own all volumes of X, including the movie and the Japanese manga), but my opinion, it doesn't matter because they are good to me
