Years ago, people thought that deaf people couldn't communicate... period.

Just because he dedicated his life to helping deaf people listen, speak, and lipread doesn't mean that he was oral-only. He was simply trying to prove that any deaf person has potential and can do anything.
AGBell wanted to sterilize deaf people!
