All kinds of innocent groups have had to endure oppression over the centuries, not just deaf people. It had nothing to do with the miracles that Jesus performed.

It was Christians in America who went to the most effort to educate deaf children, long before the government stepped in.

Jesus confronted the priests precisely because they failed in their spiritual duties and conduct.
