ssi - anyone?

hello, i havent been here in a while, i found this website and i found out that im already a member xD

anyway, im going to show up for my SSI interview (meeting, whatever)

and i may have too much money in my bank account,

Any idea what i should do with the amount I’m supposed to use in order to be able to apply for SSI? i know i need to use it to prove my independence, so should i pay it forward to my parents who'll use it to pay off for clothes, gas bills, car insurance, phone bills, and road trip fees (college visit). i actually owe them money for those things anyway, so that would be a acceptable excuse for the money i had in my bank account since it's part of the independence process right? (i just turned 18) and yes, im deaf.

Im originally against SSI but i would really like to have the support from VESID to help pay for my college fees so yeah it's a temp thing.

any advice or tip'd be appreciated.

thanks.
Jerry.
