I think we have done more harm than good by shutting them out. If we develops a good relationship, they might even want to copy our model, instead of have opposite effects.
I don't think people will use that excuse of all those good we have done forever.

People will get tired and we are like walking time bomb. One day, one of powerful countries is going to snap, that's all it will take.

And when that happens, who will want to stand with us?
I think we are hated because we have done to much appeasing. We should stand for what we believe in and not care what other countries think. Why do we make friends with China when they have such awful human rights policies?
And you can NOT talk to terrorists. They will nod and smile then chop your head off, because they are motivated by their belief! You can not negotiate with some one like that because they will not listen.
