I guess I mean...well the person I was 5 years ago is not the same person I am today. I had a different purposes and goals in the past, which can't be used for the future with me here at present day. I have a different goal, in which I will try to apply for next few years. Dunno if it makes any sense.
All I know I will have to do a lot of research before picking either one. It's a difficult choice for me, I admit that.

I understand what you mean about changing goals but how they behaved in the past is relevant. It shows us if they have integrity, how fast they can think on their feet, what kind of temperament they have under stress, how dependable they are, etc.
The important thing is that you know that you have to do research in order to make an informed decision. That's good.
