It sure does make you wonder, what the judges have in mind, when they let people off with a slap on the wrist and others who may only need intervention or some helping hand, are locked up and the key is thrown away? It does not seem to make any sense. Like you said, oh well.

Actually, the drunk driver was driving on a suspended license and no insurance too as well. He had his 6 year old daughter with him too in the pick-up truck. But the daughter was taken by his ex-wife before the cops arrived. A few months later, he was busted with 600 lbs of pot in his car. What happened? They dropped the charges. Not only that, somebody also tampered with the police report on the car collision weakening the prosecutor's case against him.
