I'm a firm believer that once your child has reached the age to comprehend long books, they should have a well-established understanding of the difference between fantasy and reality- and that not allowing them to read a book or see a film for fear that a work of fiction can shake their faith speaks volumes about failures in parenting- and of the fragile nature of so called "faith" you're worried about destroying. I don't believe it's quite so geniune if you've never found yourself questioning it and believing DESPITE those questions.
