Thanks Kaitin for your post. I didn't know that Phillip Pullman won all that awards.
I also want to add one more comment about God. If you read in the SparkNotes link I provided (in the last book, The Amber Spyglass) this sentence - "Balthamos tells Will that angels are made out of Dust. He also tells Will that God was not the creator of the universe, but was rather one of the first angels." Again, I told you that they didn't kill God but Metatron. God just faded away.
