How soon everybody forgets and conveniently at that. They came over from somewhere else. Just because it is believed they were here first doesn't make them the originals. Nobody knows who was here first. History is all about conquerers, those that assimilate into a population and those that move into into an empty land. History is dynamic...not static and it continually changes.
As far as the Native Americans beliefs are concerned, they are just one of many cultures. Most cultures don't subscribe that the earth's is everyone's. Good luck trying to kick the Chinese out of China!
