Oh boy! That's hard. I am afraid that you are jumping too fast. You might be right. This email sounds a sort of nice, but it could be pretty tricky. Last year, I recalled an article that if there is about 10 deaf students in a class, a supervisor or boss is required to have an interpreter by the law.
I am thinking that you should ask someone who is an interpreter here on AD for his/her some suggestions.
Can you try to ask an agent first at the capital (Government building) - State Commission on the Deaf and Hearing Impaired (CDHI)? This should be helpful for you to get the information from the department. This is significant to you. Please look it up on your state's website...
