We don't buy video games. Our family (including daughter's family) buy board games so the whole family can sit around the table at night and play together.

My grandsons got some money for Christmas, so they went to Barnes & Noble and bought some interesting board games. One was a version of Monopoly with an underwater sea creatures theme, and the other was a game about Dragons (I forget the exact name).

We gave our son-in-law an updated Monopoly game, with modern properties and prices, and tokens that represent today's life.

We like games that at least six people can play together so no one is left out.
