If your restaurant meal costs $100, then $5 is an insult tip.
Getting a $100 bill doesn't always mean that it's an expensive restaurant. If there are five people in your group, that's only $20 per person, especially if appetizers, dessert, and alcoholic drinks are included. A $5 tip means that each person gave only
$1 for a $20 meal! That's 5%, which means your service was awful.
