No, there is no way to prevent all attempts to attack us here in US. That is wishful thinking. It happened before and it will happen again...just a matter or time.

The strategy of doing war overseas is partly a calculated plan to take the "war on terrorism" to them. The administration rightly figured that Americans would prefer the action to be elsewhere. How many of you would prefer random bombings anywhere/anytime in the US? Would you feel safe to go anywhere if this were the case? Who would you be blaming if it did happen? Of course, the gov't...so the gov't is condemned if they do and if they don't. So far, we been fortunate even for the successful "stings" we had recently about attempts to do real harm. Part of that is that success (at home) is that we are over there. I'm not saying something won't happen here but there is probably less of it due to the war. The real problem in Iraq is the administration's mishandling and inadequate planning efforts after we went over there and got rid of Saddam.
