I have used drive thru many times since children was born(10 years). I just go straight to the window and let them know that I am deaf and I cannot hear anything. Of course, I prewrite the orders on what we want to eat and hand them a note. They just ring up the price and do it right there.. No problem.. I have not gotten any hard time from those people just yet. Now my children are old enough, I just stop by speaker and let them speak on what they wanted to order since they really wanted to do this. They think its more fun that way for some reason..
