No, the doctor has nothing to do with any of it. If a dog comes from a program school, yes. Otherwise, no. I have documentation with my audiologist that I do, indeed, have a hearing loss, but I do NOT have that paperwork with me, nor is it required under The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. I do not have any paperwork that says Snickers is my hearing dog. If a business has a problem with that, then the police are called and they are in violation of Federal law.
