Hey BabyAngel,
The Weight Watcher program is all about portion control, more than thinking it is a diet. The average weight loss each week that is just right for any member is 1 to 2 pounds a week, if you lose more, then that is great. Also, it depends on your metabolism (energy). If you're metabolism is slow, then you will lose it slow. If your metabolism is high, then you will lose it fast. Remember one thing BabyAngel, men lose weight faster then women do, because their metabolism is much higher than a women's.
Other factors to consider, did you have too much starch during the week? Did you drink too much water? 8 to 10 glasses of water each day is just right, any more than that, will cause bloating.
That time of month too, you can gain anywhere from 2 to 10 pounds during that time of body fluid.
Exercise is good, but, when you do exercise take into consideration that muscle will outweigh the fat.
You could be on a plateau. This happens to a lot of people. A plateau is when you don't lose weight for at least 3 weeks, and then you start dropping again.
Make sure that you jot everything down on your meal tracker, and keep track of all the points you ate and your bonus points.
It you cheat? Make sure you count it.
Just be careful of the starches, like your carbs, corn, peas, pasta. They can put on weight and cause you to have a gassed up feeling.
It's better to lose the weight slower, than to lose it faster, where you will be more conscious of what and how you eat by losing the weight slower. Whereas, if you lose the weight too fast? You will lose control once you get to your goal weight. You don't want to do that as you have worked so hard to get where you are today.
You had a gain, so alright, don't let that get you down, just chalk it up to experience, and then say to yourself " I am going to have a better week this week. " We are not perfect BabyAngel, and there will be times that we will make mistakes, and when we do, we don't kick ourselves, we just start over the next day.
Sometimes there is no explanation why you have a weight gain, it just happened, and when that does, don't get upset, because your emotions control your eating habits. Just move on, and do better the next time.
Eat different foods each day, don't keep eating the same foods day after day as you will have a weight gain.
Don't beat yourself up, next week you will have a better week and a better weigh in. Be good to yourself, keep your emotions high and positive, and tell yourself I can do this.
You will do fine!!!! Good luck!!! You have come this far, don't give up on yourself now. Move forward BabyAngel, not backward.
