It's pretty fishy the way the cops issue tickets, I agree.
Once I could have gotten two tickets. I went through a red light and then immediately made a right turn and didn't completely stop for a stop sign. I was on a sideroad in a hilly area, and I saw the cherries of the squad car popping behind me, but I continuted driving to find an appropriate spot to pull over. The poor cop thought I was Ignoring him because he pulled up alongside me and made it clear from his gestures that he wanted me to pull over. I finally did, and he was very angry when he came to my window and demanded if I knew what it meant when his lights are going off behind me. I said that I did. He asked me why I failed to do so. I explained that because the sideroad was narrow and in a hilly area, I was concerned about his safety since cars coming over the hill behind us might not see him in time to make proper maneuvers to avoid hitting him, etc.
He was silent for a few seconds and then muttered that he was going to let me go with a warning even though he could give me two tickets.
So, there is a tip for you, butter them up, lol.
