I did told the police officer that I never had a ticket before, and my driver record is good, he said if I had let you go with a warning then others will keep driving thru the yellow light... It don't make no sense cause others still do so have I from time to time, this is the first time I ever got pulled over for driving thru a yellow light... |
Oh yeah, it's not everyday that a cop give somebody a ticket for going through a yellow light. But it legally can be done since it is against the rules of the road to go through a yellow light unless you cannot stop fast enough to arrive at the lights. But most people do it anyway.
Also people who are making attempts to turn left are allowed to turn on yellow light which could be why it's illegal for people to drive through the yellow light so enough time are given to these drivers to make the turn. Personally.
