Seriously, I grew up loving cats -- and I owned 3 black cats in the '90's -- remmy that Java? One of them was yours as well -- Billie. I miss them all -- Halloween was the darling mother cat I was given while living in Los Angeles and brought her back to northern California along with another cat (tabby) called Sobriety.
Halloween had kittens and I kept 2 of them -- Billie and Marlena. Java had Billie for a while and I took care of her cat when she had to leave town for a while.
