That's what happened to my wife's situation with the cop for failing to stop completely at a stop sign. He won't give her a chance to talk and he yelled and yelled at her while my little daughter was inside and got scared and cried. It was a bad experience for them.
So my wife contacted ADA who mediated the situation with her, police officer and chief. What happened was that the officer apologized to her and was required to take a course about deaf culture. That's it. My point is that the only punishment he got was a requirement to pass that course.
