I don't speak for other religions who may call themselves Christian. "Christian" doesn't come with a trademark, so anyone can use that name.

For example, Christians took part in the American Revolution for political
freedom from British rule. They did not
take up arms for religious freedom. They did
use legal process when they participated in the development of the Constitution's Bill of Rights to secure religious freedom.
