I think some of the comments were based upon your first portrayal of the event. Once you explained it better, that you are a good student, that you are not a discipline problem and that you are an honor student, the subject became more clear.
No matter what the issues, the terp was very wrong.
Reba is the one to heed regarding interpreters. She is an interpretor and is a long time member here.
